As a therapist, I can focus on the well-being of my clients, knowing that all aspects of my office are managed and cared for.
— Kim Anderson, LPC-MHSP, CPLC
Therapy Space was a great place to begin my private practice after graduation. The entire setup was amenable to just showing up and doing therapy.

We started Therapy Space because we know the challenges confronting the private practice therapist and counseling professional.

We get it. Getting started in private practice is difficult. And even after you're established, the costs and time commitments of running an office leaves little time for focusing on your practice itself.

How do we know? Because we're therapists too, and we've gone through it all - every challenge of starting and maintaining a traditional private practice office space lease.

Noah and I met in 2013 at the Refuge Center for Counseling in Franklin, TN. I was there to do practicum work, and Noah was a licensed professional counselor pursuing his Ph.D.

Once I began my transition to full time work at my private practice, we considered creating a space where new clinicians could minimize the expensive start-up costs and overhead of a private practice while enjoying the community of working close to other professionals.

During that process, we identified the greatest barriers to starting up a practice:

  • Finding adequate office space that's not too big and costly or too small;

  • Locating available space in a safe, desirable part of town that's actually affordable;

  • Having the liquidity or committing the finances to build the spaces out to our needs;

  • Proving the rental history to our lessor that would allow us to build the space out;

  • Avoiding costly triple net leases that make it hard to make turn a profit early;

  • Having to pay burdensome maintenance costs for common spaces in shared buildings;

  • And all of the other hidden costs that force so many private practices to fail early on

That's why we started Therapy Space. After an exhaustive search throughout Middle Tennessee, our vision became a reality we opened our first location in 2015.

Therapy Space began with just 10 therapists sharing 7 office spaces. Since then we've grown to meet the needs of clinicians across the country.

How do we do it? Through volume purchasing, we can build out, furnish, and stock secure, high-quality facilities that are made just for therapy, psychotherapy, and other counseling professionals.

We can then offer these spaces to you at a significantly lower cost than what it would take to go at it on your own. In fact, with our monthly rates, you'll be profitable with your first client.

Furthermore, Therapy Space strives to create a safe community of professionals by carefully vetting everyone who rents space at our facilities to make sure they meet high standards of professionalism and decorum.

Therapy Space is a place where we have the freedom to focus on our practice with the support to succeed in the business of mental health.

We hope you'll consider joining us.

Founders, Therapy Space

Marcus Geromes, LMFT, M.Div.  Co-Owner

Marcus S. Geromes, M.Div., LMFT

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist originally from Lexington, KY. I finished my M.Div in Boston before I moved to Nashville with my beautiful wife, Arianna, so that she could begin her medical residency. I began my MFT program at Lipscomb University after being introduced to the field of marriage and family therapy by my favorite professor at seminary. We love spending our free time hiking at Radnor Lake, going to new restaurants, and hanging out with the wonderful people we’ve met since moving here.

Noah Zapf, Ph.D., LPC-MHSP

I moved to Nashville in 2009 to pursue a MA in counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University and fell in love with Middle Tennessee. In the summer of 2012, I opened my private practice specializing in sexual addiction, trauma, and couples counseling.  When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and two boys, exploring new cuisine or visiting my favorite coffee shops with friends, and traveling to new destinations.

Prime real estate for every clinician.

Therapy Space makes it possible for therapists at any stage in their career - from new graduates to veteran practitioners - to build their practices in safe, desirable neighborhoods.
